Good overall, the best thing about the hostel is the proximity to the Soignes Forest, a lovely woodland. Also good if you fancy a game of table tennis or badminton! Unlike other youth hostels it doesn't provide self catering facilities so you can't cook your own food (this wasn't obvious from the description of the hostel). Also the machine for boiling water didn't work and the cafe staff refused to fill up our flask - not very helpful:-(

Staff at the home friendly and very helpful, rooms and housewares in good condition, hectic with great noise and races in the corridors at night. Breakfast just lavish and expensive.

The Hostel is far from the metro station by walk, so you need to ask for the bus to take that will stop in front on the Hostel. It is also a Sport center so do not get confused when you do not see the signs for the Hostel but it is inside. Also, near the metro you can find a shopping cart store purpose there is no kitchen available at this Hostel. The room was clean and wuiet. There are lockers in the room but you need your own lock. The bathroom are shared on the floor with the showers. Be careful to bring showershoe because the floor gets full of water after a few people took their showers.

I spent 3 nights in the Hostel Hello and I'll recommend it! Sympathetic home, available staff overall. I appreciated the quality of the building as a whole (good view), las sympathetic common alle with internet access. One negative point: a very special exchange with a woman of household the first morning (no reply to my questions).

Good home, staff very nice.

But it is not easy to wash, it n is not a lot of showers and evening c is dirty.

5 Minutes from the centre by METRO. 2 fun nights

This 5 minutes by metro to the Center, get to the hostel is easy and is very close to the metro station. The staff is very friendly! The negative is that you need you more toilet to the baths. From the excellent rest for the price!

Youth Hostel simple, user-friendly, with a staff really nice listening! Ideal housing, since breakfast is incllus, when a small budget. For its location in two not the centre, I advise strongly to any traveller!

The negative points: - work took place during my stay, I remained in the Chamber since in the corridors and common areas there were workers, dust, electric wires... - the check in was in a another hostel has some 2 km from it, therefore, there is not any ' in the hostel of the grand place (not even during the day) to answer the questions, managing the problems... - photos do not really correspond to the hostel from the grand place.

The positives:-very good location, really in the centre of the city.

-staff (of the Inn where it is in check) is very nice.

Hotel in work... or not...? but the pictures have nothing to do, nothing is standard in my opinion. We were near the grand place, for info. Toilet and bathroom had been completed. The rest is really + summary.

A hostel has avoid, the benefits proposed for the youth party are any those described on the site. The premises are not those photos, the bathrooms are not pleasant, some beds were broken, there is one covers fire while on the site, it is said that there is not.

In short, to avoid.

The reservation is well passed, but the part this hotel youth hostel is not really and what photos suggest. (Dormitory 12 men)

The neighbourhood is doubtful, there is a curfew (it is explicitly written not on the site), beds are broken, the bathrooms in poor condition, there is no light in all rooms, you will share 3 showers for 22 beds, beds are placed do anything for the sole purpose to the maximum in the room.

Despite this, I slept well, and it is what counts.

But, if I return to Brussels I turn my way

Type of stay: 2 sets of 3 & 4 nights. Reservation in dormitory.

Performed stay: 3 nights in hotel 4 people, with 3 persons of English and Italian nationality. 4 nights in a hotel of 3 people, with a night in the company of English and 3 nights only.

Home: Dependent persons in the home. In General, a very good home on the part of one of the officials. The other person who welcomed me to the 2nd series had not seen me on my first visit, appeared on the nerves and was less welcoming. Then I found the person who welcomed me on the first visit and it was perfect! Home in English, in French, it is a hotel that hosts many students of various nationalities.

Room: Two rooms different for two stays, but impeccable: good support bedding, full bathroom, spaces for storage, Office, Chair, small tables, fridge and TV (no used, don't know if they work because there is a defective electrical outlets), telephone to call home, lights for each bed.

The beds are quite close with each other, provide sunglasses to hide the view, if you want to fall asleep early. Lack of usual, difficult to sleep well when other people are there, but only nights have been perfect. Cohabitation perfect and healthy, in General. I shared with students.

In one of the two chambers, to charge the battery of my PC, I used an outlet in the bathroom, and note interesting, I had to leave the room lit, if not the current spent more! Other catch did not appear to operate (case of a house).

In one of the two chambers, the available dry-hair was not walking, but it was ok in the other.

Other remarks: there is a wiper to dry, so step sentencing to take its own headlamp. There are blankets and sheets, ok also on this side there.

There is a curfew to 11: 30 pm / midnight. Plan to arrive a little before.

There is a possibility to leave his luggage during the day, but I did not have to use this service.

There is a bar, but I was never see. Not had the time.

Price: He entered my budget and has been the reason for the choice of this hotel, in addition to remain during 3 & 4 nights, this was not the case elsewhere. Another strong point: he was close to where I spent my days.

In short: A good place for young people, who seek to sleep in a welcoming room, but without more sympathetic price. I had the honour and the chance to stay in the hotel that I will have of find me in dormitory.

CONS:

It was a bit hard for me to find the hostel. I wish they would write on their website which train to take from the central station to facilitate easier orientation.

The hostel is also quite far( for my taste) from the center and is located in a downmarket area, which i didn't quite like.

One is not given a key to the hostel and you always have to go to the receptionist so they can let you in. You have to be back at the hostel by Midnight otherwise you get the doors closed!!! Which tourist rushes to get home by midnight!!! I found their rules extremely absurd and irritating!!!

Also it wasn't really clear to me whether the price they put was not inclusive for breakfast..apparently it states so in the website....

The lights kept on disappearing!

Even before i said i was checking in, the receptionist assumes immeadiately it was the hostel( they also have a hotel which is more expensive), left me wondering whether i looke so cheap.!!!yeah he was right , i wanted the hostel but he doesn't have to be so blunt about it!

There're no drawers/cupbords/safe to lock your stuff. Valuables have to be left at the reception.

You get one towel on check in. You have to leave your passport as fund!! which fool leaves their passport at some rundown area in a foreign land !!!!! GEEEZZZ!!! on negotiaon i was allowed to leave a smaller ID but still.......

PROS

The Hostel is quite clean. There's warm water from the taps, a small fridge to put your stuff and internet for free.

You get to meet nice people if you're lucky. I was lucky;-)!!

Rather nice hotel, good ratio quality / price. If it appears in first vieillot, capricieux with tiny elevator, the Chamber is suitable. With parquet floor, management of the House is very well, and own shower room, providing towels, SOAP and shampoo. The hotel is rather well located, 10-15 minutes from the Grand place slow steps.

Accueil agréable. Gîte calme et propre. Bien placé par rapport au centre-ville.

Manque peut-être la fourniture du linge de toilette.

Cet hôtel reste un peu loin du centre ville, et le quartier de la gare du Nord ne fait pas tellement partie de ces quartiers que l'on aime voir quand on veut profiter de ses vacances. Un accueil malgré tout sympa, qui compense un tout petit peu l'état vétuste des chambres et la propreté douteuse.

The hotel is very well positioned (1 km from the centre and a metro nearby, as well as bus station), it is great, but at the time it is a true labyrinth. the rooms are spartan but clean. Shower cabin was similarly spacious. the breakfast is full and understood. One of the receptionist was very pleasant and took time to indicate the place to see. While sleeping. However, the cost was high but as we are come to the eve of the day of the year, it can be explained. I advise.

The only place to stay in Brussels! You simply arrive at a friend's! Karel is very friendly! Fabulous Art Déco house, confortable bed, huge kitchen with a view to the garden, affectionate dog. Transport facilities in a nice part of the city. It is not a youth hostel at all.

What else ?

Clima accogliente e appartamento gradevole. Un po decentrato rispetto al centro città tuttavia ben servito dal tram e inserito in un quartiere dal clima piacevolmente multietnico.

Very good price/quality ratio. The hotel is simple but very nice for a short stay, friendly staff. And especially the hotel is located in the heart of the historic and tourist district.
