Directions

From the airport:

The cheapest and best way to get here is on the 16 bus from the airport. It will drop you right beside the hostel on Aungier Street and costs €2.65. Make sure you have exact change as none is given on the bus. The journey lasts about 40/60 minutes and it operates from 7.45am during the week and 8.30am on Sundays. The last bus is 10.40pm except Saturday when it is 10.20pm. Buses go roughly every 20 minutes but check the timetable at the bus stop for exact times. The best way to know where to get off is to just ask the bus driver to let you know - that's the Dublin way!

There is an express Aircoach that operates every 15 minutes from 4.30am to midnight and then half hourly until 4.30am and costs €7. This will drop you off at Trinity College, a ten-minute walk from the hostel. From Trinity walk down Dame Street and take a left on South Great Georges Street. Aungier Street, where we are located, is the continuation of this street. We're on the right-hand side of the road just after the Carmelite church. Street signs are on the sides of buildings in Ireland so watch out for them!

Taxis from the airport cost around €25-€30 and take about 20 minutes depending on the time of day. During rush hour it can take up to 45 minutes.

From Bus Station (Busaras):

Follow the tramline west toward O’Connell Street – a five minute walk. From there you can take a 16, 19 or 22 bus southbound on O'Connell Street. Get off the bus on Aungier Street at ‘The Staircase’ coffee house opposite the large grey Carmelite Church. You can see the hostel on the other side of the road – a large red-bricked Victorian building. Alternatively, it's only a 30 minute walk from the station. If you print out the map on this site you can find us easily. If you get lost just give us a call and we’ll send you in the right direction.

From the Ferry Terminal North Wall:

Catch the city express to the Bus Station (Busaras) and follow directions above

From Dun Laoghaire Ferry Terminal:

A 46A bus will bring you to St. Stephen's Green West from where you are only a 2-minute walk. You can also get the DART to Pearse Street or Tara Street, a 20-minute walk from the hostel.

From Heuston Station:

Take the number 92 bus to Kildare Street. If you've come by train you don't need to pay for the bus – just insert your ticket in the machine when you get on. Walk to the top of Kildare Street until you get to Stephens Green. Turn right and continue until you reach Grafton Street. Follow the Green around to your left and take a right onto York Street. The hostel is at the bottom of this street.

To begin: the home is nice, it is the only place in Dublin where it has been welcomed by people speaking our dear French. A good point!

However negative rooms and common areas. As a general rule it's lack of cleanliness and taste (good there is the quibbling). As we were in a mixed corner so clean it's still important. After the rest i.e. location, service, nothing wrong! and the bar restaurant next is Top!

At the level of the price, it remains interesting, so despite the negative points raised, not hesitate! If I had to redo the trip, I if but when booking on girls!

Top! Bon accueil, propres locaux, eau chaude, petit déjeuner, salle Ciné, internet, etc.

A 5 minutes de Temple bar en plus.

Donc une valeur sûre.

Stay on two occasions. 1st House from 4 just down the Hall away from the noise of the street, with wc and shower, super!

return at end of stay, new Chamber 4 corridor to the third, less well PCO workplace (yet at 18 euros instead of 17 for the first), more noisy, just a sink, and the glazing above the door which leaves all night light to pass through the corridor.

Otherwise good home, good atmosphere and services, (except that on 6 computers for internet access 3 fails... non-repaired 10 days after).

Very good situation, all accessible on foot.

Sympathetic atmosphere, computers with free internet access, opportunity to call abroad free of charge, breakfast included well appreciated.

However in 5 days, our room was never cleaned (shower, garbage, etc.)

Problem of reservation... they are still well managed but it is not normal!

Otherwise good geographic situation ^ ^ the Ireland I returned without hesitation! And what atmosphere in pubs nearby:)
